Stop Overthinking And Start Doing

Introduction

Ever since I was a kid, I have been overthinking about everything.  Did I study enough for the math test, what will she say when I ask her out? The list goes on.    When I decided to create my two businesses ( Diehard Boston Sports Fans, and Diehard Custom Apparel), I decided to really put an emphasis on believing in myself.  Has it been easy? No.  Has it been worth it?  Absolutely!

Gotta Believe

" Gotta believe " is a famous quote from former patriots WR Julian Edelman.  What is all comes down to in believing in yourself.  Seems like a simple concept to master, but for me it definitely was not the case.  When I first started my businesses, I had to get myself out there.  This meant doing recorded videos, live videos on facebook, creating articles, and creating shirt designs.  I jumped right in and started with a recorded video on the Tom Brady deflated footballs scandal.  For those of you who know me, I am extremely passionate about our Boston Sports fan.  Needless to say, I was beside myself when Roger Goodell decided to suspend Brady for 4 games.  Before I started recording, my mind was racing all over the place.  What if people don't agree with me?  What if nobody watches or comments on the video?  Right before I started recording, I took a deep breath and put all of the negative thoughts out of my mind.  The video went great, a ton of people commented, shared, etc.  Now from time to time I still have some doubts, but that is normal I think. Believe in yourself!

Closing

Moral of the story is to stop worrying about what people think! If you want to start a business around jewelry, health and wellness, or any other idea you have, just do it!  Full send so to speak. Put your heart and soul into it, and most of the time it will work out well for you.  I hope this helps!

Steven Thompson
